4. What MVHS Club, Event, Class, Activity or on campus service are you designing for? Why?
5. How does the sample brochure effectively use the space? What is interesting about this design?
Design Steps Step 1: Using ONE REAL MVHS club, event, class, activity or on campus service, design a tri-fold brochure. You can choose from the following:
The marching band
A Club
The Counseling Office
The College and Career Office
How to Succeed Academically in High School
Page Architecture:
Gutters
Printing Edge (White on the edge is the best)
Columns/Layout (Columns affect the outside mainly, for mailing purposes)
You will probably have to interview a person via email to get information for your COPY. CC me on your correspondence or no credit.
Step 2: Critique:
Due: May 8th. copy/paste onto your banner document. Note: Change of due date: Tuesday. Do not paste into banner document. We will critique your brochures for PARC. Your brochure must be proof read by the end of class MONDAY. Critique beginning of class TUESDAY, may 19. If it is not a good design and ready to print at the end of class Monday, you will not be permitted to print and thus you will not pass this assignment. No late submissions on this day.
Step 3: Print your image so that it appears on both sides properly. You will have to feed the paper through the printer twice. Only those who pass the critique can print. If your design needs improvement, then redesign it, get feedback and print during lunch Weds.
